It was challenging! It was cool! We will remember Mansfield and Mansfieldians!

Introduction

The relationship between Mansfield and Volgograd universities has been tested by years. A ten-year period is history, and we decided to record our memories for everyone who might be interested in it, using a new technology. We hope that our friends in Mansfield will open this page to read and see how impressed we were by this small and friendly place.

 Hello everyone!

 We are here in  Pennsylvania.  Everybody is fine-- pretty tired from the  eight hour time  change but proud of  our walking in  Washington by night. Thanks to our guides - Bernie Koloski and Larry Uffelman - we arrived directly at Mansfield. We saw beautiful mountain landscapes and the wide and powerful Susquehanna river, which reminded us about Fenimor Cooper and Pacahontas.

 Mrs Monique Oyallon and Mrs Donna  Uffelman were guiding us and making  sure we were all okay at the beginning.  We tried our best not to be difficult.

 Monique was a magnificent hostess. She  invited us to our first social event - a  'Welcome to Mansfield' party. That was  our first American cake. We felt that we  were not outcasts. We could relax  meeting  new culture, old and new  friends.
